How the SoilFax report works. We’ve built the SoilFax report to be straightforward, you fill out the form and we take it from there. Timing from signup to sampling can vary depending on weather and field conditions, but once samples are pulled you can expect your completed report within 2 to 4 weeks.
Step 1
You Fill Out the Form
Submit your contact details, property information, and field specifics. Once we receive it, we review everything, reach out to confirm, and get the process moving on our end.
Step 2
We Schedule and Complete Field Sampling
Our team coordinates access to your fields and collects soil samples using a 2.5 acre grid at a 6 inch depth. This captures the full plow layer where nutrient buildup occurs.
Step 3
Samples Are Sent to an Independent Lab
All samples go to an independent laboratory for a full analysis of macronutrients and micronutrients. Using an independent lab keeps the results objective and defensible.
Step 4
We Analyze the Results and Apply Values
When lab results come back, we identify excess nutrients and value them at current fertilizer market prices to determine your excess fertility value.
Step 5
Your Report Is Built and Handed Off
We put together a complete report documenting your soil nutrient data and valuations. You hand it to your tax professional and they apply it to your specific situation.
Step 6
We Are Here If You Need Us
After your report is delivered, we do not disappear. If you or your tax professional have questions about the findings, the process, or the documentation, we are available to help. You are not on your own once the report is in your hands.
